At Growing Paws, we're a small, family-run dog food business based in Comber, Co. Down, delivering premium dog food throughout Northern Ireland - including Belfast, Lisburn, Bangor, Newtownards, Newry, Antrim and surrounding areas.
Our journey started with a simple problem: finding a dog food that was genuinely high quality, gentle on sensitive stomachs and free from the fillers and additives that cause so many dogs problems. We couldn't find exactly what we were looking for - so we created it.
Today we stock a full range of premium hypoallergenic and grain-free dog food, including dry dog food, cold pressed dog food, specialist sensitive stomach recipes, puppy food, senior food, natural training treats, single protein food toppers and professional dog hygiene products - all chosen because we feed or use them on our own dogs.
Everything we sell is wheat-gluten free. Our dry dog food range starts from £40 for a 15kg bag. Our cold pressed range starts from £59.99. Smaller bags are available across the range so you can try before you invest.

Hypoallergenic Dog Food for Sensitive Dogs
Every recipe in the Growing Paws dry dog food range is wheat-gluten free and hypoallergenic, making them suitable for dogs with food sensitivities, wheat intolerance or mild allergies. Our grain-free Salmon & Potato and Turkey & Veg recipes go further - single protein, completely grain free, and designed specifically for dogs with confirmed food allergies or intolerances. All recipes are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
Cold Pressed Dog Food - A Gentler Alternative to Kibble
Our cold pressed dog food range uses low-temperature processing (under 45°C) to preserve more natural nutrients than standard kibble. Cold pressed food also breaks down more gently in the stomach, making it particularly well-suited to dogs with sensitive digestion. We stock four cold pressed recipes including an 80/20 high-meat beef recipe with 48.2% crude protein - one of the highest meat cold pressed recipes available in Northern Ireland.
Joint Care Included as Standard
Every Growing Paws dry and cold pressed recipe includes a joint care blend containing glucosamine and green lipped mussel as standard. This isn't standard practice across the industry - most equivalently priced dog foods don't include these ingredients and it's one of the reasons our recipes represent strong long-term value for dog owners.
Natural Treats & Food Toppers
Our 100% single protein training treats are available in five flavours including venison and wild boar - that make highly effective high-value training rewards. Our food toppers are also 100% single ingredient, making both ranges safe for dogs with food allergies where single protein choices matter.

Yes. All Growing Paws dry dog food recipes are wheat-gluten free, which removes one of the most common dietary irritants. For dogs with more significant sensitivities or confirmed allergies, our grain-free Salmon & Potato and Turkey & Veg recipes use a single protein source with no grains at all. What is cold pressed dog food?
Cold pressed dog food is made at low temperatures (under 45°C), compared to standard kibble which is cooked above 120°C. This preserves more natural nutrients and produces a food that breaks down more gently in the stomach. It's particularly popular as an alternative to raw feeding. Can I try the food before buying a full bag?
Yes - 2kg trial bags are available across most of our dry dog food and cold pressed range. We recommend trialling a new food before committing to a full 12kg or 15kg bag.
